Happy 100th day of school! To celebrate the 100th day, 2nd grade spent time in both Language Arts and Math incorporating activities related to the number 100.
In Math, students built fruit loop necklaces with 100 loops, counted 100 beans, measured objects that were 100 centimeters, measured 100 water droplets, and wrote about owning 100 different objects.
In Language Arts, students began with a Writers Workshop on the theme of If I were 100 years old. When writing about being 100, students described how life would look different and what they would enjoy.
Needless to say, today was a fun-filled 100th day where we all saw a few more gray hairs than usual!
