Happy Valentines Day from Ms. Jantzi's class! This week we had a fun time creating bags for our valentines and reading a funny story about Aurthur's secret Valentine. It was lovely to see our students joyfully sharing with one another and enjoying a little of their candy too. Happy Valentines!!
Happy 100th day of school! To celebrate the 100th day, 2nd grade spent time in both Language Arts and Math incorporating activities related to the number 100.
In Math, students built fruit loop necklaces with 100 loops, counted 100 beans, measured objects that were 100 centimeters, measured 100 water droplets, and wrote about owning 100 different objects. In Language Arts, students began with a Writers Workshop on the theme of If I were 100 years old. When writing about being 100, students described how life would look different and what they would enjoy. Needless to say, today was a fun-filled 100th day where we all saw a few more gray hairs than usual! |
